Italian magazines: Which should I choose?

Improve your Italian with Italian magazines

One of the many things you can use to learn a language are magazines. There is a good number of Italian magazines you can choose from to improve your Italian.

Today I’ll list seven Italian magazines you can read.

Focus

Focus is a popular Italian magazine that is issued every month. It generally includes articles about science, technology, history, health and even social issues.

It’s written in a non-academic style, so it’s perfect if you want to discover new topics while learning new Italian vocabulary and expressions.

You can choose to subscribe and read the paper version or the digital one. Moreover, if you want to have a look at some articles, you can do it for free on Focus’ website.

Donna moderna

Donna moderna is a weekly Italian magazine. It covers articles about fashion, beauty, shopping, weddings and food.

You can choose between the paper version or the digital one. If you’re interested, you can read some free articles on Donna Moderna’s website.

Giallo zafferano

Giallo zafferano is the perfect magazine if you like cooking and trying new Italian recipes. Indeed, you’ll find every type of recipe from appetizers to desserts.

And I haven’t told you the best part yet. Giallo zafferano is also a youtube channel. There you can follow Italian recipes step by step.

Vita in campagna

As the name itself suggests, Vita in campagna is a monthly Italian magazine aimed at people who love gardening and farming. It gives you precious advice about sowing, harvesting, how to take care of your garden and also helps you learn agricultural techniques.

Bimbisani & Belli

Bimbisani & Belli is a monthly Italian magazine that includes articles about baby care and pregnancy. It gives you many suggestions on how to take care of your baby, it covers topics such as health, psychology, free time, etc. You can find many useful free articles on the magazine’s website.

Al Volante

Al volante is an Italian monthly magazine about cars and motorcycles. It publishes car reviews, news about the automotive world, road tests and price lists. It’s perfect if you love cars and wish to learn some Italian vocabulary related to them.

Panorama

Panorama is a weekly Italian magazine about politics, society, economics and current affairs. As always, you can read many free articles on the magazine’s website. A good way to stay up to date while improving your Italian language skills.
